EDUCATION

I graduated from the University of Southern California with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting in 1980.  Later on, I attended and took night courses to obtain my Masters of Science degree in Taxation from Golden Gate University in 1986.  Throughout my career, I have taken numerous business valuation courses.  In the year 2000, I received an Accredited Institute of Business Appraisers credential.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

Upon my graduation, I worked for a national accounting firm in their Los Angeles and San Francisco offices for six years.    Subsequently, my wife and I moved to Evansville, Indiana where I worked for a large, local accounting firm for another six years.  My job position/title upon leaving both these CPA firms was "Tax Manager."   Since arriving in the Pacific Northwest in 1997, I worked for a local accounting firm in Bellevue, Washington before finally deciding to open up my own accounting/CPA practice.  In my 25+ years of public accounting experience, I have worked with both small and large companies in many/various types of industries.  I have provided a broad range of services for individuals, business owners, executives and independent professionals.

PERSONAL

I am a widower.  My wife, Sherri, of 22 years passed away in March 2008 after fighting breast cancer for 8+ years.   I have three teenage daughters who are in 9th and 11th grades and one who is a college freshman at the University of Washington.  They are great kids, but they are teenagers (enough said).  We have a eight-year old, 95-pound yellow labador retriever named Scooby.  We have lived in Woodinville, Washington for the past 14 years.  We love it here.  We love to go camping in our Coleman pop-up tent trailer in the spring and summer seasons.  As a family, we also like to take hikes and ride bikes together.  If there is any spare time after work and family activities, I enjoy playing a game of golf and/or going to the driving range (I'm a hacker).
